Pucci, Pucci, Pucci!

I headed down to Palm Springs this past weekend (one of my fave places) and picked up two fabulous original edition copies of Emilio, A Pucci Fashion Story from Taschen Publishing for the store.

Emilio Pucci was born Marchese di Barsento in Florence to one of Florence’s oldest and most noble families. . He attended the University of Milan and after two years, won a skiing scholarship to Reed College. While at Reed, he designed clothese for the Reed College ski team. A female friend was photographed wearing some of his designs and was soon noticed by Harper’s Bazaar. He returned to Italy and opened his own couture salon. His fashions have been worn by everyone from Jaqueline Onassis and Diana Vreeland to Madonna. The book is a must have for anyone craving the fabulous colors and patterns that distinguished Pucci as a fashion icon.
