Cameron Diaz’s Kelly Wearstler Designed Apartment

Okay, so Kelly Wearstler has four best-selling coffee table design books showcasing her own fabulous homes along with the homes of the fabulous A-listers that sign-on to the Wearstler imprimateur.  And, alright she’s been instrumental in elevating the boutique hotel chain that she and her husband, real estate mogul Brad Korzen have developed to a genre all their own.  Add to that, a successful fabric line for Lee Jofa and Schumacher, rug lines for Patterson, Flynn and Martin and The Rug Company, her own eponymous fashion boutique on Melrose Avenue, one of the judges on HGTV’s Design Star and, last, but certainly not least, the mother of two young boys and you have, dare I say it, not only a trendsetter but a designer who has become nearly as famous as some of the famous people for which she designs.

Case in point is the recent apartment she did for Cameron Diaz in this month’s issue of Architectural Digest. Cameron Diaz is not known for being upstaged by anybody or anything, but here she has graciously shared the page with Wearstler herself.   The undisputed star here is, of course, the beautiful apartment that Kelly Wearstler has designed for her.

Kelly Wearstler Dining RoomHer generous use of metals is on play here, especially in the fabulous vintage Spanish chandelier in the diningroom .

Kelly Wearstler KitchenYou can never have too much metal, especially here where Wearstler has used brass counters and a backsplash in the kitchen, where she has opted for a very graphic and bold green on the cabinets.
